Graduate Marketing Trainee Position : Brighton
China Travel Outbound is an international tourism marketing agency, based in Brighton. We specialise in helping our clients attract tourists from China, the largest travel market in the world.
We are a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company with teams in Brighton and Beijing and our clients include VisitBrighton, Royal Museums Greenwich, Destination Bristol, English Heritage, City Cruises and London North Eastern Railway. We also represent a number of global hotel brands in Europe and the Middle East. We offer PR, sales representation, social media and marketing services, all targeting the Chinese traveller and delivered through our team in China.
We’re looking for a graduate trainee, preferably with some experience of working in an office environment, to come to join us, to learn the business, and to grow with our company. You’ll be helping us manage our clients and talk to new ones. You’ll be looking after our social media and writing newsletters and blogs, creating fam trip itineraries for visiting tour operators and media from China, and liaising with our team in Beijing.
Very importantly, you’ll need to manage our report schedules and edit and distribute our client reports. Strong organisational skills, great writing ability and an interest in travel and international marketing are all required, but the most important thing is a flexible attitude and an ability and desire to learn quickly.
Over time, we’ll train you up so eventually you will be managing your own clients, developing your own business leads and representing our agency at events and conferences.
Fluent English (spoken and written) is required for this role. Strong IT, design and social media skills are an advantage.
Speaking Mandarin is NOT a requirement for this role.
You don’t need to speak Chinese nor have any experience of China to work with us, but you will need to be interested in this dynamic, emerging market, and have the ability and desire to learn something new every day. We are also looking for someone with the ambition to grow their career with our company.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Interested in travel and / or international marketing and keen to learn more
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Some experience of working in an office environment is preferred
- Highly efficient with good administration skills and attention to detail.
Salary: c. £18,000 plus company pension scheme. Monday-Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm. We embrace flexible working and ask that any requests are made at the time of application.
Location: 5-10 minute walk from Brighton Station.
