The UK is one of the most popular places in the world for Chinese students seeking education abroad; in fact, the number of Chinese students in the U.K reached as high as 106,530 in the 2017-18 academic year, a figure which continues to climb year on year.

So what draws Chinese students to the UK? What do they like to do here and what places to they like to visit?

We sat down with University of Sussex student, Joanna, in our first ever video interview to discuss what it is that brings Chinese Students to the U.K, how they like to travel and what student life is like in a foreign country.
